Who I am

I'm Alex. Software engineer. Born in Madrid in 1984, and living in the US since 2017 with Diana and our daughter, Lúa. I've spent half my life in software, and for a while now AI has been everywhere in it: my work, my projects, and a good chunk of my head.

AI has already changed how software gets made: the development process today is completely different from what it was barely two or three years ago. What nobody knows yet is how far the change goes, and that's exactly where I like to be: testing it first-hand and writing it down as I live it. The longer version of who I am is on the about page.

What you'll find

I write about building software when AI is part of the work: judgment, product decisions, how work changes, and the mistakes I make along the way. Everything comes from what I'm living. When something works for me, I share it. When something blows up, I share that too. And when I don't have an answer, I say so.

Where to start
